Hi Ascenders! What’s up with you today? 🙂

Below you will find the top 5 good healthy meals of 2018.

Doesn’t life have to be easy? Well, truth is, most of the time it’s not. But here’s the real question: Why make it harder than it is? Because cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it should be easy (Thanksgiving might be an exception for your family ;)). You know when we cook 80% of the time it has to be: Easy, fast, tasty and obviously healthy. This is why we grabbed deep inside of our magic box with our favorite recipes from last and this year to create our #Top5healthymeals. We’re talking about ingredients (Spices are not counting ok, don’t make it to hard for us :)). Oh btw: It’s not just less time consuming, but your wallet will be happy too. I don’t know how you feel about the last fact in a city like San Francisco, but saving some money is not too bad, isn’t it? 😉

We want to bring you the whole package today: From a breakfast up to a lunch/dinner until a delicious dessert and even something you can snack during the day or after the workout.

Okay, so what do we got on the plate:

1)Breakfast: 2 Ingredients Paleo Mini-Pancake

Eat on purpose

Yes, it has to be in here. It’s basically my favorite breakfast recipe of all time because it is so super easy and everybody has the ingredients at home: Eggs & Bananas. Extra tip with I have been trying for a longer time: For fewer sugars and more density in the pancake add the protein powder with the cinnamon and just add half of the banana.

Here you get to the recipe:

2)Lunch / Dinner Option 1: Potato Latkes

We want them in here for 2 reasons: Eggs and tuna. These babies are loaded up with protein and will fill you up. You can have them perfectly after your workout, but I would recommend it as a lunch because it doesn’t contain a lot of calories and still gives you a feeling of fullness. It’s a must try.

Here you get to the recipe:

Side note: Yes, with the dips you end up with more than 5 ingredients, but we never said that you have to do the dip, right? Trust me, they’re tasty and crunchy as hell without the dip too 😉

3)Lunch / Dinner Option 2: Sweet Potato French Fries

This is really one of our old-school paleo classics and maybe one of the best post workout meals you can have when it comes down to gain muscles. Combine them with some animal protein and your muscles will be happy. The sweet potato is just loaded up with Vitamin A, but it actually has fewer calories than a regular potato with the same weight. So don’t be shy, have a bunch of those delicious french fries and make your belly smile again :).

4)Dessert: Paleo Mousse Au Chocolat

You might expect this and yes, you’re damn right: We need some chocolate action in our Top 5. You might find even easier recipes for dessert out there because you can just have some strawberries for dessert, but this is more for the super lazy days and to be honest: Everybody can do that. But bring blood sugar friendly fruits together with some chocolate, then we’re talking, right? 😉 So If you have never tried this load up of antioxidants, we want to warn you, because you might fall in love again.

Here you get to the recipe:

5) Snack to Go: Power Mushrooms

Like the taste of the woods? Then you might be very happy with this pick because mushrooms it will be. Super easy to prepare with our secret weapon: Garlic (Just don’t have it before your next important interview). Garlic is so freaking great because it can prevent and heal the upcoming colds, helps if your ear hurts, and also has some positive influence on your digestive system. Mushrooms itself are just one of the best snacks because you can’t overeat with them calorie wise plus they’re loaded up with the important mineral potassium. Try it out!

Here you get to the recipe:

6)BONUS: Bacon Pepperoni Rolls

Yes, we said Top 5, but one EXTRA ingredient is not too bad, correct? Especially if it’s including bacon. Or did you really think I send you home without bacon? 😛 You have to try the following one, it’s really too easy and too good to be true. WARNING: It’s highly addictive!

Ingredients (for 2 mini snacks):

  • 1 green mini peppers
  • 1 scoop of cream cheese
  • 2 stripe of bacon

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F
  2. Cut the peppers in a half and remove the seeds with a tablespoon
  3. Fill each half with cream cheese and wrap them with the slice of bacon
  4. Put the peppers in the oven for about 15-20 minutes and enjoy (just don’t let the bacon burn ;))
