Vegan Green Power Smoothie

Green smoothies are super hot right now. That’s no surprise, since a smoothie is a quick and tasty way to add more fruits and vegetables into your diet. So what’s the problem? Well first of all, not all green smoothies are healthy. If you blend together a bunch of fruit and call it a day, you’re setting yourself up for a blood sugar crash. Which means you’ll be hungry again in a hour, three hours top.

 

The solution is to add some healthy fats to your smoothie. Fats help keep your blood sugar stabilized and increase your satiety. Still think fat is bad for you? Read this! Ingredients for 2-3 servings

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 kiwi
  • 150 g of cucumber
  • 1 banana
  • small handful of walnuts
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 inch slice ginger
  • 8.5 Oz almond milk
  • 8.5 Oz filtered water
  • Optional: 2 fresh pressed oranges

 

Preparation

  1. Get a blender and mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
