Hey Ascenders! Do you like bread? As a German, I grew up eating it my entire life. And even if I know it’s not really the healthiest, nothing beats a hot loaf of bread! Plus, the recipe options are endless.. You can throw together a sandwich, or just butter up a slice and eat it as a snack! On the other hand, we should always invest in our health. Which basically means that we should invest in high quality ingredients. Our bodies will always thank us in the long term.
Today, I’m happy to present the happy medium: the perfect Paleo bread we’ve all been waiting for. It’s a gluten-free bread made from seeds, nuts, eggs and a lot of love. Generally, bread contains flour, which is full of gluten and can cause digestive problems. White bread is even worse, as the refining process strips out all the minerals and vitamins. But not with this super special bread!
The cool thing about this paleo bread is that it’s packed with a lot of minerals, vitamins and, of course, proteins and fats. These fats are mostly unsaturated and with the walnut we get in omega 3 fatty acids. Also to stabilize our natural cholesterol level we need a balance between LDL and HDL cholesterol. Eggs are higher in HDL which prevents you from getting arteriosclerosis and at least a heart attack. Another advantage is that you only have to prepare it one time and the preparation is easy.
You can prepare the bread in two variations, depending if you like the seeds and nuts in your bread in full or crushed consistency. The bread will stay fresh for at least 3-4 days in a drawer, a lot longer in the fridge.
