Oh Nutella, you God of chocolate, who doesn’t love you? When it comes to chocolate, Nutella is definitely on the top of our list. But that might just be all the sugar talking. After all, Nutella is 55% pure sugar. Hazelnuts, the healthiest ingredient in Nutella, barely make a dent in terms of nutritional value. Isn’t that crazy? If you’ve ever wondered why chocolate is not sweet, but bitter, that’s why. It’s just missing the sweetness of the sugar. That’s also why we always recommend to go with darker chocolate because it contains more fats and less processed sugars.
