AND NEVER MISS A NEW POST

There are many reasons to follow a rotation diet. Many have to do with identifying food intolerances and finding out what foods best resonate with your body.
But another really great reason to follow a rotation diet is because it’s so easy for those of us on the go, to choose the same foods over and over. This means if you are consistently choosing the chicken dish from your local restaurant or it’s your go-to protein when cooking up a home meal, you are missing out on a huge array of other potential nutrients.
Think of food groups like the spectrum on the rainbow. If you are always choosing foods from the green/ yellow spectrum on the rainbow, then you are missing out on a ton of other things that your body could really be wanting.
For instance, if you always eat chicken and rice, but your body really wants syringic acid found in swiss chard, a flavonoid known for it’s blood sugar regulating properties, and you aren’t paying attention to that internal craving, intuition, deeper listening that your body want chard, you could go for years without getting those nutrients your body truly wants.
An easy way to think about it, is eating every color under the rainbow and trying vegetables and proteins that you normally don’t eat. You never know, you might have a new favorite! A few years ago I discovered buffalo and it’s a part of my weekly menu!
Go ahead! Challenge yourself this week, try eating every color and see how your body feels! I can tell you from experience that your body will thank you! If you liked this article share it with your friends, and I love to hear about the new foods you’ve tried in the comments below.
