My introduction into the healing arts began with the discovery of the powerful practice of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bahjan. I completed a 200+ hour Teacher Certification in 2001. Our studies included: Kriyas, Meditation, Pranayama, Anatomy, Physiology and the Yogic Lifestyle. After completing the course i continued my studies while I lived in their ashram in San Leandro and served as Teacher’s Assistant to the course in 2002.
Through my yogic training and community I was led to begin my bodywork training in 2002. I attended the Pacific School of Massage and Healing Arts, directed by Fred and Cheryl Mitouer, and completed their 110 hour Certification Course. Since that time, I have continued my studies in their Transformational Bodywork program, accumulating over 700 hours of credit in their advanced trainings as well as serving as Teacher’s Assistant to their courses. My mentorship with Fred is still ongoing as we look to create and develop the next generation of bodyworkers.
Through my trainings I have developed the skills to offer a holistic, heart-centered approach to facilitate a healing space, and be a conduit for the universal life force of energy that flows through and around us. Session are typically a blend of techniques including: Deep Tissue; Trigger Point; Thai; Accupressure; Cranio-Sacral; Reflexology and Breathwork. My work is tailored to the specific needs and desires of the client, while also leaving space for the intuitive nature of the work.My work has provided relief of: chronic stress and painful physical conditions; surgery and injury rehabilitation; mental holding patterns; and emotional wounding.
