Chicken plays a huge role in most Paleo diets. For good reason! Full of protein, free of carbs and low in fat, chicken makes the perfect pre-workout meal. Plus, poultry contains many essential amino acids (the kind our bodies can’t make and need to get from our diets). Chicken is especially rich in the amino acids leucine and lysine, which helps our muscles recover and make chicken a great post-workout choice as well. Pretty good deal, right?
The downside of chicken’s big presence in our diets is that it can get pretty boring to eat. After all, how many times can we nosh on grilled chicken and steamed veggies before throwing in the towel on this whole ‘healthy eating’ thing? Our bodies need nutrients, but our brains need a touch of variety to feel satisfied in the longterm.
To change it up, today we’ve come up with a new way to spin chicken salad. We’ve added crunch and spiciness to kick the flavor up and keep things interesting for our tastebuds. The result is our newest spicy paleo chicken salad. It’s simple to prepare, and absolutely delicious. Excited? You should be!
